The inmate information system includes Current Inmate Bond Information at press 1, Jail Policy for visiting, money, mail, and property at press 2, Phone Account Information at press 4, and Leave a Personal Voice Mail for Detainee at press 5. Because Illinois changed pretrial release law, a "bond" prompt may cover release status, holds, or older terminology rather than a new cash-bail posting process.
Court Records and Copies
For filed criminal cases, court dates, dockets, certified copies, and public court-file questions, use the St. Clair County Circuit Clerk. Court records are separate from jail booking records. A jail roster may show custody, while the Circuit Clerk record shows the filed case and court events.

The Circuit Clerk site links to Case Search, Court Dockets, payments, and copy requests. Online case search is a public status tool, not a certified record. Use the clerk's copy request process when a formal copy or certified copy is needed.
Prosecutor and Victim Questions
For prosecutor-side questions, victim services, charging-process information, and criminal court process materials, use the St. Clair County State's Attorney. The office prosecutes cases presented by law enforcement. It does not serve as a general public police-report counter, and prosecutors cannot provide private legal advice to defendants.

Public Records Requests
St. Clair County uses the JustFOIA public portal for county public-record requests and tracking. The Sheriff's Department also posts a sheriff FOIA request form. Use the records process for booking records, arrest reports, booking photographs when available, and other sheriff or county records that are not visible online.
Requests should identify the person, approximate arrest date, arresting agency, booking number if known, and the exact record sought. Illinois FOIA has exemptions, and the judiciary has separate court-file access rules, so a county FOIA request is not the same as a Circuit Clerk copy request.
State and Federal Custody
For sentenced Illinois prisoners, use the Illinois Department of Corrections Individual in Custody Search rather than the county jail roster. For federal prison custody, use the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. For immigration custody, use ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Illinois VINELink can help with custody and case notifications, but it is not a court record or jail booking archive.
